Dubá Hop Drying Facility

Dubá Hop Drying Facility
The hop drying facility in Dubá, with its two drying towers, is an important technical monument, a reminder of the former glory of Dubá’s hop-growing industry in the 19th century. There used to be six drying facilities and sulfurization plants here; this is the only one that has been preserved more or less in its original condition. Hop cultivation had a tradition spanning several centuries in the Dubá region (Dubský zelenáč). It expanded after the Thirty Years’ War and reached its peak during the first half of the 19th century. There used to be six drying houses and sulfurization facilities here; this is the only one that has been preserved more or less in its original condition.
