One of the most impressive rock formations in the Mácha Region—Čapská palice—stands at the very edge of the rock massif. This massive rock club juts upward from a spot offering a magnificent view of the landscape around Dubá and the České středohoří Mountains. Nearby lies the rock fortress of Čap, founded around 1400 by Berka of Dubá. All that remains of the wooden fortress are a cistern, a well, and cellars hewn into the rock.
